Acting HoF: Katrina Hudson

Language is the vital first step for all people in their journey towards understanding and appreciating the world around them. In this faculty we develop the skills of interpersonal communication and personal self expression that lead to success in today's environment.

Courses:
French Years 9 and 11
Samoan Years 9-13
Japanese Years 9-13
The Moving Image (Film and Television) Years 12 and 13
English Years 9-13

Senior English:
Three pathways ensure that students can take the appropriate course to suit their learning needs and have every opportunity to gain the minimum literacy credits for NCEA.
• Full NCEA Achievement Standards courses at Years 11, 12 and 13 cater for students following academic programmes anticipating tertiary study.
• Two-year Level One Achievement Standards course gives students the option of a Level Two Achievement Standards course or Communication course at Year 13.
• Communication English courses at Years 11, 12 and 13 offer Unit Standards.
