Whole staff professional development to support teachers and enhance literacy levels across all subjects and year levels. This includes in-class support, and working alongside staff and students.

Courses:
Exploring Language - Year 9
Reading for Success - Year 10
Team Teaching Classes - Years 9-10

Initiatives to lift student achievement:

• Team Teaching: Three Year 9 and three Year 10 classes work with two teachers in Science, Social Studies and English. Planning, assessment and teaching is shared, with the class makeup encouraging multi-level teaching.
• Volunteer community reading tutors trained to support students with literacy needs, working on a one to one basis, three to four hours a week.
