Specialist rooms include three computer laboratories, a specialist CAD computer laboratory, two food technology rooms, wood, metal, textiles, design and graphics rooms. These facilitate the design process and allow students to develop their skills in the medium of their choice.

Special features include the Hospitality Academy and Project-Based Technology course which prepare senior students for the workforce and tertiary study. Many students are involved in the Gateway programme to assist this move from secondary education to the workforce.
