Uniform Requirements
Uniform is compulsory for all students.
Wainuiomata High School insists on a high dress standard for our uniform.
All students are to wear the uniform with pride, including shirts tucked in for boys, and the tie is to be worn correctly (at the base of the collar). All uniform must be purchased through the school uniform shop unless stated otherwise. Parents purchasing uniform elsewhere risk it not being accepted by the school.
Please note that at the Board of Trustees meeting held Monday 02 November, the Board made changes to the High School's policy on school shoes for boys and girls. This uniform policy was passed at the meeting and will take effect from Term 1 2010.
There have been some changes to the styles of approved shoes, and slip on shoes will no longer be permitted to be worn by girls during the winter terms, Terms 2 and 3. You can see examples of approved styles later on this page here.
