The Arts faculty offers students the opportunity to develop their creativity and express their individuality.

A goal of the Arts faculty is to expose students to professional performances in the Arts including local and international musicals, the NBR Opera, stage productions at Circa and Downstage theatres and art exhibitions at the City Gallery and the Dowse Gallery.

The Performing Arts includes Music and Drama where students create their own original compositions and dramatic performances.

Visual Arts courses allow students to apply their artistic talents to a variety of multi-media. In Photography students produce their own photographic work in the specialised darkroom.

A wide range of extra curricular activities is available in the faculty. The Sheila Winn Shakespeare Festival is a regional contest where students act out a Shakespearean scene. Talent quests provide students with an opportunity to display their talents to the school, be it dancing, singing or playing a musical instrument. Also, music lessons are provided in drums, guitar, piano and wind instruments.

ALL Year 9 students participate in the Arts options: Drama, Music, Art and Dance.

For Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 Art subjects are optional.
