Aspire Camp 2012
For the third year the Year 9 Aspire Camp was held at Rimutaka Forest Park Catchpool and Brookfield Scout Camp with separate boys and girls groups dividing their time between the two locations. With the Year 9 students were Senior Peer Mentors, which enabled all the students to interact out of a school environment, make new friends and experience new challenges. Amongst the tasks set were abseiling, kayaking, raft-building, barbequing, tramping and building bivvies.
Apart from one wet night, the five days were announced a success by the students who attended, the teachers who supervised, and the parents who received feedback from their students.
