Kia Ora Caregivers and Whanau

The Wainuiomata High School Board of Trustees has made the decision to close the school on the day of the National Strike to ensure the safety of all students.  As such the school will not be open for instruction or supervision of students on Wednesday 29 May 2019, unless the strike is cancelled.  Please note the change - in the last newsletter I indicated the school would be open.  We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.

In addition to the above, please note the following dates:

Thursday 30 May is our Open Evening (5:30pm-7:30pm). School will close and students will be released at 2:00pm.  Some students will be required back at school from 5:30pm-7:30pm.  You are all welcome to attend our Open Evening.

Friday 31 May is a designated and scheduled Teacher Only Day. There are no classes for students.  Saturday 01 June is the Senior Formal at Te Papa in Wellington, and

Monday 03 June is Queen’s Birthday Public Holiday observation.

Students received a printed notice advising these dates on 22 May to bring home to caregivers and whanau.

Yours sincerely,

Janette Melrose, Tumuaki
