Science

Wainuiomata High School Science faculty has six well equipped laboratories and separate storage and staff work areas.

The faculty staff is well versed with the New Zealand science curriculum and committed to delivering a high quality science education to the people of the community. The staff are adaptive, innovative and willing to give up their own time to help students.

The faculty offers a variety of science courses from Years 9 to 13.  Science is a compulsory subject for students in Years 9 and 10 and optional, but highly recommendced, for Year 11 and optional for students in Years 12 and 13.

The faculty organises regular field trips and uses mentors to relate the relevance of learning science for life.
