• NCEA Level 2
Entry:
• Students choosing Vocational Studies do NOT choose Gateway as another subject
• Students choosing Vocational Studies will have the opportunity to enter the Gateway class, as places become available
• Students wanting on the job training must be ‘cleared’ for placements by DP’S, Deans, Gateway staff and Parents and have shown achievement in Vocational Studies
Outline:
This course is aimed at students who wish to take a purely internal based course. The course will include a variety of Internal Unit Standards from Level 1 and 2
Highlights:
• To provide students with two, one week work experience
• The course aims to:
• Help the student gain vocational credits
• Prepare students for Gateway places as they become available
• Assist students make decisions for post school training and education
• Participate in the Inspired Kiwi Experience
• Complete Career Quest and an up to date CV
• Visit the Coca Cola Careers Expo
• Meet the VIBE Y.T.S (Youth Transition Service)
