Drama - Year 10
This course is an optional subject for Year 10 students.
Students must be prepared to take part in all practical group tasks, including a public performance in Term 3 and there will be a maximum class size of 25 students.
Students will be introduced to creative exploration, developing personal confidence and awareness, and group problem solving.
During the course, students will:
• Learn acting skills
• Perform a scripted play
• Plan and develop an original drama
• Design theatre stage craft (e.g. costume, lighting, make up, sound, set or properties)
• Study the history of theatre
Students in this subject are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular drama, such as a school production, or the Shelia Winn Shakespeare festival.

NCEA Level One Drama in Year 11
