Bell Times

Manaaki Time and Timetable Periods

Manaaki Time is a 30 minute period held at the start of the day, every Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday with your Manaaki Teacher. On a Wednesday, this is reduced to 10 minutes at the start of the day.

Courses are timetabled over a week and run in 90 minute periods.

School finishes early on a Wednesday (2:40pm) to allow for Staff Professional Learning.

The High School operates with bells. A bell will be rung at the beginning and end of each period, as well as five minutes before the end of lunchtime. Students are expected to be in class on time (within 2-3 minutes of the bell ringing). Student will not be released from class until the bell has rung to indicate the end of the lesson.

Assemblies are held in Houses at manaaki time as required: Tuwhare in Rimurapa, Wharekura in Ngahuia, Ngata in Remutaka, Apiata in Turakirae, and Rutherford in Pukeatua.
