PPTA members have voted overwhelmingly to reject the Government’s recent offers for settlement of the Secondary School Teachers’ Collective Agreement.

Members also voted overwhelmingly in support of further industrial action for the rest of Term Two to support the negotiations. This includes:

Continuing the relief ban

Extending the rostering home action to two Year Levels per day, Monday to Thursday

A ban on all work outside school hours, including responding to e-mails and meetings

A full day ban on participation in extra-curricular activities on Wednesday 21 June

A ban on work related to preparation for NCEAchanges by teachers who are not part of pilots, including PLD and engagementwith the Ministry of Education and the NZ Qualifications Authority.
